Look what Ayden can do!

Write his own name!

Ayden shocked me today by writing his name! Why was I so surprised? Because we have NEVER practiced it! He has flat out refused to even try. He has never been big into coloring or drawing. I used to push the issue but finally decided he would do it when he was good and ready! Still, I figured I would have to work with him on it...but I guess he has been practicing it at school? I will have to ask his teachers. The way I found out was by looking at his Sunday school art project and noticed his name, obviously in a child's handwriting. I asked him about it, and he said, "yeah, I can write my name" like it was no big deal whatsoever. I got an index card (he wanted "little paper") and asked him to write it again, which he did! (using 2 cards, lol). I am so proud of this big milestone! Tonight he even signed Chris' valentines card, and wrote "daddy" on the envelope by looking at the word written out on another sheet of paper. Such a big boy!! Go Ayden!!
