Isn't it ironic...

This is our 4th winter in NWA, and by far, the mildest! Our first winter we had several snowfalls, starting in November, and then a massive ice storm in January. The following winter we had at least 2 good, deep snows we could play in.
Winter 2010

And who can forget last winter, with several snowfalls including one that was a record-breaking 24 inches--exactly one year ago this week!!

Winter 2011
Last winter was the longest, coldest winter of my life!! So, this isn't so much a complaint, but an observation...today is the first day of February, and we have had no snow to speak of yet this winter! We had one little dusting but no real snow. What is ironic is that every winter since we have lived here, I have told myself it would be a waste of money to buy snow gear (shoes, snow suits, sleds, etc) because Arkansas just doesn't get enough snow to make it worth the expense. You might remember Ayden's Wal-mart bag snow boots of 2010 :)

Then, we ended up getting a ton of snow, and couldn't get to the store to buy snow gear if we wanted to! SO...this year, I decided snow boots and a sled would make awesome Christmas gifts and surely would come in handy...based on the last 3 winters anyway! Well, apparently I was wrong!! So, maybe I can exchange the boots for bigger sizes for next year...in the mean time, we're going to enjoy our Spring-like winter!
Today- 2/1/12, it was 62 degrees outside!
