30 things (or 25)

I stole this idea from a friend's blog, who just turned 30 too. Okay, maybe I didn't just turn 30...it's been 4 months. But anyway, I love this idea- 30 things to accomplish while I'm 30. Many of mine are the same as hers, and I added several of my own too. It's similiar to New years resolutions, but a bit more specific. I'll be interested to see if I can really do this...after all, I really only have 8 months left of being 30!!

1. Plant a little vegetable garden with Chris and Ayden.
2. Print my blog books up to date.
3. Organize all our photos. Whoa. That's going to be a big feat!!
4. Paint at least one room in our house, preferably the playroom, including a chalk board wall.
5. Go camping in our (newly inherited) camper.
6. Write a letter to myself to open when I'm 40.
7. Pay for a stranger's meal in the drive-thru lane.
8. Create survival and first aid kits. Yes, I am a nurse, and no, we don't have an official "First aid" kit!
9. Give up soda for a month. Since I drink an average of 3-4 Diet Dr. Peppers a day, that should be interesting.
10. Take the boys to the Tulsa or Kansas City Zoo.
11. Finish an entire book. Any book.
12.Play in the rain with the boys. (I LOVE this one, Jenn!!)
13. Take the boys to one of the outdoor movies our town has downtown on summer nights.
14. Go to Crystal Bridges museum.
15. Weigh less than 200 pounds for the first time (as an adult). I'm soooo close!!
16. Get a massage.
17. Take a girls' weekend with my BFF, and fly alone for my first time ever.
18. Visit my BFF and her family in Houston this summer.
19. Make the complete transition to eating and feeding our family only organic/grass fed beef and organic fruits and veggies, even though it's not cheap or convenient.
20. RIDE A HORSE. I never have, I'm not even kidding. My friend Angie is gonna help me with this one.
21.Organize our home office and filing cabinet.
22. Detail my car.
23. Replace the door knobs of the 18 interior doors in our house. (The builders of this house really liked doors.) Okay, maybe this one is for Chris, but I will help him decide which ones to buy :)
24. Pretty much replace all of the remaining "original 1973" fixtures that are in this house. There aren't too many that haven't been updated, but there are an ugly few :)
25. Become members of a church.

I can't think of 5 more, maybe I'm too tired. Maybe I'm too lazy. But since I got started late on this, I think 25 is good :)
