Our little monkey is officially 2 1/2 years old (as of last week)! I am once again amazed at how quickly time has passed since his 2nd birthday and can't believe we are on the countdown to 3! Luckily he is still very much his momma's baby, and I hope it stays that way forever! A momma can never have too many babies, right? Here are a few things about Ayden at 30 months old that I want to remember:
Stats: 40 lbs, 38 in tall, size 4T clothes, size 10 shoe
Favorite foods at the moment: Turkey and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, applesauce, chicken, pizza, waffles, sausage, spaghetti. If you don't immediately get him what he asks for to eat or drink, he will get it from the fridge or pantry himself! Also, we when tell him we're out of something he likes to eat, he says "Let's go to Walmart!"
Favorite activities: going to Mom's Day Out, coloring, play-doh, playing with/terrorizing the dogs, cooking in his kitchen, playing with blocks, and reading anything-books, magazines, even sales ads :)
Shouts "Hooray!" when we tell him something exciting we are going to do (go to MDO, play outside, etc)
Loves talking on the phone but has a complete meltdown when it's time hangup!
Speaking of meltdowns, they seem to be fewer, but when he does have one-it is INTENSE! He is very passionate about getting his way! (No clue where he got that??)
Has had a few successes on the potty and we are planning to hit potty training full force by springtime.
After being disciplined, he usually apologizes ("I sorry") and gives the reason he got in trouble without being prompted
He crosses his legs like Chris (ankle up on opposite knee) when he sits. Hilarious!
Still has such a strong gag reflex that he randomly vomits 3-4 times a week! We have gotten pretty good about seeing it about to happen and getting him off the carpet to the tile!
Wants to dress himself and says "I can do it myself!"
He has a few random "security" items that he takes to bed along with Mickey, Elmo, and baby, which are: an old remote control (which he calls a "pa-mote"), a cylinder-shaped decorative pillow that he calls his sleeping bag, and a square decorative pillow. Who knows why?! But we must have them at bedtime!
Has met the weight limit on his carseat and baby swing, so he has been moved up to a big boy swing and a new carseat that 5 point harnesses to 65 lbs and then is a booster to 100 lbs.
Our gorgeous brown-eyed boy!
