Two wonderful years ago today, at 4:31 pm, our precious little boy came into this world and changed our lives forever! Being a parent has been such an amazing ride so far, and everyday I wake up thanking God for giving us Ayden and excited to see what new and fun adventures he will take us on that day! Anyone who knows me at all knows that being a mommy is my greatest joy in life and I cannot imagine a more perfect child for us than Ayden. He is a perfect mixture of Chris and I, all while having his very own perfect personality. Here is a run-down of Ayden's antics at 2 years old!
Stats: 31 pounds, 38 inches tall, size 24 months-2T clothes, size 7.5 shoe
-Very affectionate- loves cuddling, giving kisses and hugs and saying "I love (yuv) you"
-Loves to "bock a bye" (be held and rocked) when tired
-Has started calling us Mom and Dad
-Loves his puppies- An-bear (Andy Bear) and Gun-Gun (Gunner)
-When we are getting ready to leave the house, he checks to make sure we all have our shoes on, hats for him and daddy, sunglasses, and car keys
-Sits on the potty and makes hilarious straining noises but makes no potty yet!
-Regularly speaks in 3 word phrases/sentences, sometimes 4-5 words.
-loves coloring, playing with stickers, and play-doh
-loves to build things- with blocks, pillows, or whatever he can find!
-all time favorite activity is playing outside- running, jumping, climbing, digging, exploring
-has started asking "what's that?" while pointing to things
-Must have his stuffed Elmo, Mickey mouse, baby doll, blanket, and gunk for bedtime and naptime
-Loves for us to tell him The Three Little Bears story at bedtime (he will say "bears, momma?"), but sometimes he wants us to use rabbits instead of bears, LOL and they have waffles for breakfast, not porridge :)
-Loves watching cartoons- favorites are Mickey mouse, Barney, Blues Clues, and Wow Wow Wubbzy
-Walks up and down stairs easily, jumps, can throw a ball overhand and kick a ball forward
-counts to 10 with help
-sorts toys by color
-still loves looking at books and being read to
-lays down like a big boy in his toddler bed for his naps; still our little cuddle bug in bed with us at night, although he is getting to be quite the kicker, so that may be changing soon!
-will say "bebe coot" (baby cute) when he sees any other young child-newborn or 3 years old!
-has a temper that cannot be matched! (unless you were to rewind me about 26 years, lol)
-very outgoing and loves people. He has never been shy! He is fascinated watching older kids.
-Loves loves loves his grandparents, aunts and uncles!
-Picky, picky eater! Still a very strong gag reflex- gags when he sees any new food or we ask him to try a vegetable or fruit. Gets his fruits and veggies through V-8 splash, apple sauce, and apple juice! Loves sweets just like his momma!
-As soon as he is finished eating he goes to find Andy to clean up his mess!
-Loves to brush his own teeth (after we brush them first)

Oh my, two years old! Time does fly when you are having fun :o) Ayden is lucky too - you guys are wonderful parents! Ayden is who he is because you guys invest so much into him. Now, don't you think it's getting about time to start this process over again ;)
