All things October!

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER :)

We had a beautiful October with plenty of chances to spend time outside making memories and taking pics!

MORE OCTOBER PICS!!

Blogging just got easier + NEW PICS! :)

I have hit an all-time record low of blogging this year, as I'm sure my 3 readers have noticed ;) I have been sad about it though, because I love keeping the blog to date to chronicle all the fun stuff we're doing and how the boys are growing and changing. It's just that with 2 kids and a full time night job, some things had to fall the the wayside, and unfortunately, blogging was one of them (along with dusting and cleaning windows) :-)

I pretty much just upload pics straight from my phone to Facebook, along with little whips and quotes here and there of the boys' antics. It's quick and easy...but it's not saving it on a blog like I have done for years. SO, I am super excited that just discovered Google Instant Upload, that takes pics from my phone to the blog instantly with the click of a button! This is much quicker, easier, and hopefully will result in lots more blog posts and pics! :)

Here's a start....pics from our outing to the Fayetteville square last night to see Christmas lights! (Or as Ethan calls them, "Kiss-Kiss Yites")
Enjoy! :)

Updates, Updates!

These little guys are growing right before our very eyes, and I want to record some of their latest and greatest changes and accomplishments!

AYDEN

Our passionate, highly imaginative and creative boy is getting to be such a big kid! He is so independent and responsible for a 5 year old. He loves taking care of the pets, helping around the house (vacuuming, folding and putting away laundry, loading dishes in dishwasher, carrying out the trash), and making us laugh! He is a seriously hilarious little kid!! He makes up songs to sing and loves pretend play! He is what we deem to be incredibly smart and we feel like he is going to thrive in kindergarten next year! He loves to make up stories and have us help him spell so he can "write books" and he loves to draw and color. He is SO creative, I love seeing the things he makes! He has a very sensitive and loving side, and can also be as stubborn as a mule! He has to know "why" everything happens, "how long" everything will take, and "when" he can move on to his next favorite activity. He loves going to preschool 3 days a week and is doing very well! We are so very proud of our big guy!

ETHAN

Our "little man" is getting so big! He is a majorly independent little toddler...he wants to do EVERYTHING on his own! He is a little firecracker...who loves to push the limits and then give the sweetest baby kisses in the land :) He eats constantly and I have to put child locks on the pantry and fridge to keep him out! He is getting pickier than when he was a younger toddler, but he still eats a pretty large variety of foods. His favorite food by far is Greek yogurt with blueberries and Cuties (little mandarin oranges). He refuses to sit in a booster seat at the table, he wants to be a big kid like brother! He is very interested in the potty and has used it a few times successfully. I don't plan to full-on potty train until spring/summer, but when he takes off his diaper and asks to use the potty, I'm all for it! He wears his rain boots everywhere we go, and has a fit if you try to tell him any different. As soon as we tell him we're getting ready to go bye-bye, he goes and gets his rainboots and puts them on, then takes everyone else their shoes, saying "momma shoes, daddy shoes, bubba shoes" :) He still loves sleeping in his bed (yay!) but really loves to be rocked and sung to at bedtime first...which I absolutely treasure!! I have never understood the advice not to rock babies to sleep so they won't "get used to it"...I love that he wants me to rock him! Most nights Ayden tiptoes into Ethan's room and crawls up in my lap for some rocking too. It's a little crowded but pretty much my favorite time of the day! He watches maybe 10 minutes a TV a week...he's way to busy for that business! He much prefers climbing on the table, dumping out bags of flour, coloring on the walls, chasing the dogs, running around outside, and playing with big brother! He keeps us on our toes at all times! He does love to play iPad games and if he sees the iPad out...it's HIS! He loves his binky (his "Bee-Bee" and his blankie and I have to admit I love those little baby things about him, but the binky will be saying bye-bye in the New Year (at least during the daytime). Such a little toot but we adore him!

Boys' Birthday Parties! (Am I REALLY this behind?!)

I have at least 3 ongoing to-do lists. I re-write them about every 2 weeks, adding new things and crossing off the "dones". Blogging is one thing that continues to get transferred over to the new list time after time after time! So this afternoon while I am hungover from a night shift, Ethan is napping, and Ayden is having quiet time, I decided to sit down and see where I left off in the blogging business. I was shocked to see that I hadn't even posted pics from their birthday parties over 2 months ago! So...for the sake of record-keeping and continuity for when I eventually print blog books...here are the pics!

Our big boy celebrated his 5th birthday with a Dinosaur-themed party at Jump Zone with all his friends from MDO! It was a blast!!

Our baby boy turned 2 and we had a Train-themed party at Memaw & Pappaw's house in Mena! The boys got their big gift from Memaw and Pappaw-a new power wheels truck! It was a great party!!
