A Labor Day Baby!

Well, the date for my induction has been set! I am going into the hospital Sunday night for cervidil (which is a medication to ripen my cervix and help get it ready for labor) and hopefully Ethan will be born sometime Monday! I will be in labor on Labor Day, ha! The doctor and I discussed a few options and both of us decided that when all risks and benefits are weighed, getting Ethan delivered sooner rather than later is the option we both feel most comfortable with. There are still a few causes for concern- #1 my cervix is not dilated yet, and that could lead to a long labor and possibly a c-section; and #2 sometimes, though rarely, 37 week babies (white boys specifically) have respiratory issues when they are born. All of these things still are not as risky as leaving Ethan in 2-3 more weeks with low amniotic fluid though. So, I am giving my worries to God and trusting He will be holding us both in his hands throughout the labor and delivery. I absolutely cannot wait to see my sweet baby boy's face!!
