Birthday party!

This morning Ayden, Chris, and I went to Alex's 3rd birthday party! It was an outdoor waterslide party, and yes, it was HOT! But they had wonderful shade trees in their yard and besides that, Ayden had a blast! It took him a little while to figure out how to climb the rather steep slide, but once he did, he didn't stop sliding until it was time to eat! All the kids enjoyed a hot dog picnic and then cake and ice cream. Ayden has been excited about this party for 3 weeks, since we got the invitation and put it up on the fridge. He has asked every morning if it's Alex's birthday yet, and then he would say he wanted to get Alex a red robot, I have no idea why? LOL. (Luckily, Walmart had red robots!) Ayden was so good and had such a great time and now is taking a fabulous nap!

Today was a great kick-off to a fun week ahead...we are leaving for vacation in Kansas City tomorrow!
