Ayden started soccer in the Bentonville Little Kicksters Soccer league last week. We were so excited that he is finally old enough to play a team sport! It is a beginner league for 3-5 year olds, and basically just teaches the fundamentals of soccer (which is good, because neither Ayden, Chris, or myself know the first thing about the game!). It's also a parent-participation type of league, so Chris gets out there and plays too with all the other kids and dads! Ethan and I enjoy watching and clapping from the sideline :) He will practice every Tuesday and Saturday for the fall session, and then they will start games in the Spring. He seems to really enjoy it so far, and he is catching on really quickly! He does get frustrated if he loses his ball (there are 15-20 kids out there kicking at the same time, I would get frustrated too!) and he is showing signs of being a perfectionist--he wants to do it perfectly or not at all! But with a little encourgement, he picks right back up and plays hard! We are super proud of our little beginner athlete!
