4th of July 2011!

We had a great 4th of July! For the last several years I have either worked July 3rd night and slept most of July 4th, or worked July 4th night and missed all the festivities! It was so nice to be awake and alert and off work this year! Dad, Nick, and Brandy joined us for our first cookout at the new house, helped us take some patriotic family pics, and then after naptime, we all headed off to watch the Arkansas Naturals game! We missed my mom but she spent the weekend with us and headed back to Mena early since she had to be at work Tuesday morning. Dad is vacationing and golfing all week in NWA. The baseball game was a lot of fun, it was my first time to go see them play. The main reason I wanted to go is because they promised the best firework display in NWA and its been years since I have seen good fireworks! I was not disappointed, they were great! They played songs along with them and it was really neat. I was so worried about how Ethan would do with the loud noise, but he never even jumped. He just kicked back in my lap and stared. Just to be safe, I held a small blanket over his ears. Ayden has been excited for weeks and was completely mesmerized the whole show. The second they were over he burst into tears! All in all they both did great considering we were out for almost 4 hours past their usual bedtime. It was a very fun, very all-American fourth of July!
