Dyeing Easter eggs!

Last night we broke out the newspapers and food coloring and dyed Easter eggs! This was the first year that Ayden was really able to help. In fact, I let him do most of the work! After the eggs dried he had fun decorating them with silly face stickers. He was so proud of his 10 eggs! (We bought a dozen but 2 of them didn't make quite make it through the whole process...you can imagine what happened with a 3 year old helping!) When we were finished I asked Ayden if he wanted to eat one (he doesn't like eggs and hasn't eaten one since he was a baby) and he enthusiastically replied, "Sure!". I thought maybe the process of coloring and decorating the eggs might have made him more inclined to try one...but I was wrong. As soon as I cracked and peeled the shell off and cut up the egg he said, "Momma, where's the candy??" Poor guy thought they were gonna have candy inside like the colored eggs he got at his Easter party at school! Oh, to be 3! Needless to say, he did not eat the egg! ;)

So excited to get started!

Ethan was excited too!
